I may have been a little vague in my original
post. I didn't mean to imply that your specific
organization was allowing users to get away
with the abuse I mentioned. I have complained
about this to the domain and one of the violators
is apparently the administrator of the domain I complained to
or he somehow was able to obtain a copy of the abuse
report because he is still using my complaint e-mail as
a sig line in his abusive posts. I also made a report
to his internet backbone provider, but they have
not responded after one week.
Most of the regulars and I have killfiled these
clowns, but we have always been a group that
helps other user with problems with audio
software and have a pretty good reputation
for being a place where certain difficult problems
can be solve with all of our collective knowledge.
We have new participants on a daily basis and
if they pop into the group and see this attempted
take over going on they'll be discouraged enough
to seek advice somewhere else. I hate to see this
happen to our once quiet and informative group.
The individuals responsible are known throughout
usenet as abusers and flamers, but nothing seems
to be getting done about them. If you will go to:
http://member.newsguy.com/~shpxurnq
You can see that these clowns are proud of their
accomplishments and something needs to be done.
They have taken over the alt.rock-n-roll.stones
newsgroup and chased away the regulars there and
are trying to do the same thing in alt.music.mp3.napster .
There are plenty of places where these type of
posters can go and engage in all the infantile behavior
they like, but I feel that I have exhausted all my recourses
because no one seems to want to do anything about it.
I came here hoping someone would be able to point me
in a more productive direction.
