Island of DOOM!

LOCATION: An uninhabited island off the coast of South America...

Staggering out of the jungle.
A man staggers from the jungle. He has not eaten in three days, or had water in 18 hours.
He arrived on the island as part of an petroleum company expedition of five men. Now only he is left.
In the last week, he has seen things that no man should see, things that cannot be.

He stumbles and falls.

Exhausted, weak, he stumbles and falls. He has reached the ocean, and there is nowhere to go.
It would be so easy to just lay here and wait for the inevitable.

Struggling to his feet.

Yet he knows he must go on, if not for himself, then for the world. They have to be warned.
He grabs a driftwood walking stuck, and struggles to his feet.
Gathering wood
If he simply scratched in the ground, the blowing sand and relentless waves would quickly hide the message he must send. He seeks more driftwood to use in making his message.

Sending a message

There is a legend he has heard told around campfires in dozens of countries all over the world.
There is a symbol, which must be created in a place where it can be seen from the sky.

Important symbol.

It is to be used only when one needs more than just help.
When the situation is truly extraordinary.

Collapsed.

The symbol is finished with his last ounce of strength. He collapses, unconscious.
Perhaps it was a futile gesture. The last desperate act of a truly desperate man.

The legendary symbol.

It is, after all, just a legend...

Legend?

Isn't it?
