Why Do Some People Dislike Proyo?

Here are some of the reasons I have heard online for various folk disliking Proyo and/or their products.

1. Select People - Personality Conflicts explain some of the ill will. Tom Van Dan Elzen (Abejero), the owner of Playmaxx has had some personality conflicts with various members of the yo-yo community. At times he can be abrasive. Friendships have turned ugly. Some people just don't like his personality. Others don't like Hans Van Dan Elzen or other Proyo employees. So some people don't like Proyo because they don't like Tom or others associated with Proyo.
2. Non BPT using yoers - Some yoers don't like Brake Pads. In fact some people hate Brake Pads. They may not like how they make yo-yos play, they may not like how fast they wear out, or they may resent having to buy replacement pads, thinking that Proyo is trying to bilk more money out of them.
3. Opponents of Litigation - Many members of the yo-yo community were upset with Proyo's decision to sue Custom for patent infringement over Performance Rings, and were unhappy with how the information about the suit's eventual settlement was released to the public.
4. Modders - Several times Proyo has threatened to take legal action against those who taught yo-yo modifications they considered in violation of their patents. This was referred to as "Contributory Infringement". Yoers used to doing whatever they like to tune their yo-yos found this intrusive and unfair. Certain prominent members of the yo-yo community were rumored to have received Cease and Desist Letters from Proyo over this issue.
5. World and National Champions, Their Friends and Family - Proyo bills Hans as a World and National Champion when he tours in Europe and Asia. Here is a photo of illustrating this. Needless to say holders of those titles tend to be a bit touchy about their titles being appropriated.
6. AYYA Members - Personality and organizational conflicts caused Proyo to cease its participation in the AYYA. Proyo and its representatives are often critical of the AYYA. So strong supporters of the AYYA are unlikely to look upon Proyo with much affection.
7. World Record Holders - Upon leaving the AYYA, Proyo refused to recognize or participate in its World Records. They now maintain their own list of Proyo only records. Got to think if you hold a World record that might make you miffed.
8. Organizers and Participants in The World Yo-Yo Contest - Proyo refuses to recognize the legitimacy of the long standing World Yo-Yo Contest and puts forth its own closed (Proyo only) competition, Proyo Worlds (formerly The Desert Classic) as a World Championship.
9. Henrys Fans - Some feel that the Mongoose is an attempt to punish Henrys for using the Coral Snake Return system, which Proyo has alleged violates their radial groove patent.
10. Others - Some people feel that Proyo uses spurious and false claims to hype and promote their products.
