My Seamonkey email problem

Here's the starting point:

So, I click on "Window," which gives me a smaller window
where I can click on "Mail & Newsgroups."

Clicking on "Mail & Newsgroups" gives me a new screen which
looks like this in the upper right corner:

Clicking on "Create a new account" gives me the small
"Account Wizard"window shown below:

Filling in my name "Ed Lake" allows me to get to the next
screen, which asks for a newsgroup server name:

That's a dead end.  I don't want to change the news server
information.

Clicking on "view settings for this account" allows me to
get to a screen where I can see that I set the SMTP outgoing
server information correctly.

And I can get to a screen that would be used for composing
an email, but the screen does not allow me to put in a
FROM address.  And there's no way to add it.

My problem:  How do I set up an email account for my
outlook.com email account on SeaMonkey?

Deleting the entire entry for the news server caused things to
work differently.  After I deleted the news server option, when
I clicked on "create a new account," it asked me what type of
account to create:

That allowed me to set up xxxxxx@outlook.com as a new
email account.  However, only an inbox was created:

Next I tried composing an email.  But when I clicked on
SEND, I got an error message:

(Click HERE for the full size version.)

And it appears that the email cannot be put into the DRAFTS
folder because there is no DRAFTS folder, and there also is no
SENT folder, so it can't be put there, either.

The screen below shows the stalled "Copying message to Drafts
folder" at the bottom of the email composer window.  It just
remained there until I deleted/closed the window by clicking on
the red X in the upper right corner.

So, that was all the testing I had time for on that day (Wednesday,
November 19, 2014).

Overnight, I realized that since I'm a Time-Warner cable customer,
I should probably be using Road Runner as my output email server:
smtp-server.wi.rr.com instead of outlook's smtp server.

But, first I needed to find out if I could receive emails at my outlook
account using SeaMonkey.  So, I sent a couple emails from my Road Runner
account on my old computer to my outlook address on my laptop.

It didn't work.   When I tried to get messages, it just waited and timed out.
Here's the error message that appeared on the screen:

(Click HERE for the full size version.)

Then, of course, I wondered if the emails were received by the
outlook email program.  I checked it, and, yes, they had been
received by that program.  Here's the screen:

screen 15
(Click HERE for the full size version.)

The next thing I did was check the account settings for where
the output emails should be placed.  Here are those settings:

The next test was to see if the output smtp server would work
after I changed it to the Road Runner smtp server.

I composed an email and sent it out.  It seemed to work perfectly.
However, hidden behind one of the windows I found that the
SeaMonkey email program was hung up on trying to find (or
create) the SENT folder.  It appears that the SENT folder is
NOT created automatically the first time an email is sent.

Here's that screen:

screen 17 cropped
(Click HERE for the full size version.)

And, as would be expected, when I stopped/closed the unsuccessful
attempt to create the SENT folder, I got an unsuccessful attempt
to create a DRAFTS folder.  The screen below just stayed there
waiting for the DRAFTS folder to be somehow created:

On the positive side, the Road Runner SMTP server worked.
When I got on my old computer and checked my newsguy
email account, the message I'd sent from my laptop using my
SeaMonkey outlook mail account worked.   The email was there
in my Newsguy inbox waiting for me to download it to my
computer:

So, now I've got to figure out how to set up SENT and DRAFT
files in my SeaMonkey email program, AND figure out how to
stop the outlook incoming emails from going to my Outlook email
program.

I also did a screen capture of the defaults file on my laptop showing
that it has SeaMonkey as the default on emails.  Here's that screen:

The proposed solution is for me to uninstall all of SeaMonkey,
and then re-install it and try again, making sure that I am
recognized as the "Administrator" with all the powers of
the "Administrator."

I'll try that next.
